At Rivacre Valley Primary School, we recognise the individual needs of every pupil, including their educational needs. Consideration is given to all aspects of provision to ensure all pupils, including those who may require additional support, have access to the breadth of the school curriculum and curriculum enhancing activities.
We provide a caring, nurturing environment which enables all children to flourish as learners and achieve their best. We aim to ensure that every child with Special Educational Needs or Disabilities (SEND) is identified and provided for as early as possible through working closely with parents, carers and outside agencies. Through Quality First Teaching and targeted adult support, children are able to learn in the classroom alongside their peers. Interventions to address specific needs takes place in small groups or on a one to one basis and provision is frequently reviewed to ensure progress.
What to do if you are concerned about your child.
If you are concerned about your child in any way, please talk to your child's class teacher to discuss your concern.
Should the class teacher need advice on matters raised, they will speak to the SENDco. A meeting between the class teacher, SENDco and yourself may be arranged to discuss further actions.
If you wish to speak to our school SENDco, Mrs Vaughan about your child, please contact her using the below information.
