SEND Information Report 2023/24

At Rivacre Valley Primary School, we recognise the individual needs of every pupil, including their educational needs.  Consideration is given to all aspects of provision to ensure all pupils, including those who may require additional support, have access to the breadth of the school curriculum and curriculum enhancing activities.

New legislation (The Children and Families Act 2014) enacted on the 13th March came into force from the 1st September 2014. A new SEN Code of Practice also accompanies this legislation and was introduced in September 2014.  Schools are now required to publish a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Information report on their school website.

The Cheshire West and Chester Live Well Service

  • In line with The Children and Families Act 2014, Local Authorities and schools are required to publish and keep under review information about services they expect to be available for the children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) aged 0-25. This is the ‘Local Offer’ and is known in Cheshire as the Live Well Service.
  • The intention of the Live Well is to improve choice and transparency for families. It is also be an important resource for parents in understanding the range of services and provision in the local area
